    My new .22 (Walther SP22 M3)

Walther SP22 M3 with match barrel and adjustable trigger. Too good of a deal to pass up. My buddy bought it 2 months ago for $479 + tax and put 100 rounds through it. I picked it up today for $275. I haven't shot it yet but it feels very well built and the ergos are great. It has much more heft than it looks like it would have. I am also pleasantly surprised by the grip size, it is nice and plump and fills the hand nicely. I am a .22 lover and this gun looks like it's going to be lots of fun. Now I won't have to wait for my girlfriend to let me use my Beretta Neos U22 when we are having a plinking contest.

A cool new toy and a smokin' hot deal...way to go! You gotta love the .22's as they are so much fun. Congrats!

Wow....not what I expected! I hope you can give us a range report after you shoot it! Great deal!

It wasn't what I imagined when he offered it to me either. I was able to play the "ugly duckling" card during the price negotiations but in reality I wanted it as soon as I saw it.

While the SP22 M3 looks a little odd, I once had the same impression of a Beretta Neos U22 that I bought off a guy that quickly became one of my favorite fun-time pistols. In addition to being fun, the Beretta Neos is very well made and shoots like a laser beam. I am hoping for similar performance out of this pistol. My only pre-range gripe is that the aluminum body has a texture on it that is almost akin to a cat tongue (albeit less grabby) and lint from the silicone rag gets left behind after a wipe down. If that turns out to be my only peeve I will be happy. Maybe I can get out with it tomorrow and share a few words about my impressions.
