Hmmm, I may look into that. Nice!

I mentioned this custom job in another thread a little while back, and I wanted to post some pics. This is a 1911 mod offered by Grayguns, Inc. It's called a hardtail conversion. Bruce Gray did the first one because of neurological damage to his shooting hand, which made it difficult for him consistently to disengage the grip safety.
The gun is my g/f's IDPA competition gun, a 2nd gen SIG GSR Revolution, full-size stainless. She didn't like the Caspian style grip safety. I sent her gun to GGI as her birthday present last year and we decided on the hardtail as part of the custom work to improve the feel of the grip safety for her. It's worked out so well, she is doing the same thing to a Springfield that is sitting at GGI right now.
Here's the pics!

If I gave a crap about what you think about my guns.....it was early this morning and I already flushed it!
Thank you for the update and pic post!
That is very interesting to see.
A hard tail like on a P220 Elite...But with a built in grip safety block ala SA XD/XDM.
Talk about handy... : )
Looks cool, but I guess I dont understand how it is any easier to disengage the grip safety...? Looks as if the grip safety's "button" is still in the same location.
