I've Been Wanting One Of These For A While...

Springfield Loaded, black stainless, .45 ACP.

I've been admiring this fine pistol for a couple of years, but usually some other handgun jumps ahead on the priority list. Well, a couple of weeks ago I ran into an excellent price for a new one...it now rests in my safe with a range trip planned for this week!

I can't help but pull it out occasionally for some "fondlin' and dry firin'" though....

Here's a pic I found online, just like mine, but I have fixed (not adjustable) sights.

Wow, that’s impressive looking! I had an earlier model that was dramatically customized and it was nearly perfect. In the end I sold it and regretted it almost immediately. It was simply too hard to conceal on my smaller body type. Live, learn and learn again...

    Nice choice.
A few weeks ago I got a new parkerized Loaded w/night sights. I had to send it back because the slide fit was terrible, the back of the frame stuck out a good 2mm. They put on a new slide and went through the whole gun at my request and replaced the barrel, bushing, and recoil spring plug, took the play out of the trigger, and it feels like they did an action job. I hate that I had to send it back before I even shot it but they did fix the problem and made several upgrades in the process. Plus they paid overnight shipping both ways.
