Night or Fiber Optic on front sight only?

How many (if any) of you have a night sight or fiber optic sight on the front and not on the rear sight?

    And

How many that have night sights or fiber optic sights on both front and rear - have different color on front than rear???

    Thanks in advance.

Why not just combine the best of both worlds and get you a fiber optic with tritium in it.

I have fiber optic sights on the front of 4 of my pistols and plain black on the rear. I like it that way better.

I have TRU GLO TFOs on my P229....at the time, they didn't have different color front/rear sights...and feel it would be better if they were different colors.

However, that aside, I think they are great!...

On one gun I have a Dawson FO front (green pipe is easier to see) with a non-illuminated black adjustable target rear sight.

It works great in all but the lowest of light.
When light is so low that I cannot see the front sight, I then cannot see/discern the target as a threat either.
Add a flashlight though, as one would need anyway to see, and the front sight becomes visible again.

Beyond that though even if I cannot see the front sight I can still use the slide of the gun itself as an aiming point (akin to having 'trench sights') and still very well make quic and successful combat accurate hits as within a 6" circle.

My other EDC guns have tritium front sights; XS Big Dot and Novak, as well as tritium rears as bars. I've had white dot too in the past as well as straight up irons with no dots.

If I had to do it again I'd stay with FO front (Trit + FO front is _huge_) and a black rear sight.

On my competition guns I use a FO front sight with plain rears.

On my EDC, I have TFOs, tritium fibre optics with a green front and yellow rears.
Bend the knees, smooth is fast, watch the front sight.

I have front fiber optic sights (red) on my CZ SP01 Shadow, and plain black on the rear. They are very good day light, but when it gets dark they are useless.
I have Trijicon night sights (front and rear) on other guns, and they are great both day and night time!

I totally agree with you; Trijicon nigh sights are best! But did you ever try green front/yellow rear? IMO they are faster!
