Kahr Black Diamond finish durability?
Can anyone tell me how durable is the Kahr Black Diamond finish?
I know it is blackened stainless and their site says it is the same as what is used on knives. I don't have any blackened stainless knives and I'm wondering how durable the Kahr Black Diamond slides are against wear and scratches.

It works. Fell in brackish water with it on a fishing trip. No cleaning gear and had to keep it concealed. After 6 hours got home to clean it. Recoil spring had started to rust but not the slide. Very smooth feel after two years. No marring or scratches.

IIRC, that finish is actually Ion Bond DLC, and should prove very very scuff resistant.

Budman5, how is that laser on your Kahr. Does it stay in place when shooting? In your pocket? I've had trigger guard lasers before and they didn't stay in place. Is that a Crimson Trace?

That's a Crimson Trace LG-437. I have one on my Kahr PM9 and I've never had it drift from holster carry or non-holster carry. I also have a Kahr P380 with a LG-433 and Ruger LCP with LG-431. Neither have ever drifted from carry.
