PT709 with Hogue Jr grip
Here's a quick shot of my new 709 with the Hogue Jr grip installed (minor trimming as it was too long).

I put 100 rounds through it the other night and it feels really good; recoil was lighter than expected for such a slight frame. The trigger pull was a bit longer than I'd hoped for but I quickly adjusted and was able to put together some good groupings.
I also have a Ruger SR9c that I really like as well; these two will share time on my hip in the near future; CCW permit is on its way, 82 days and counting :)

Good job.
I have fairly large meat hooks but the grip on my Slim is very good.
Affirmative on the lack of felt recoil. It makes for an enjoyable long range outing.

Hopefully it will serve you well. And do not worry, your permit will arrive soon

I might try to find one of those for my 709. I've got big ol thick hands and fat fingers and the slim is a fun and comfortable shooter for me as well. I take up the initial slack and pull the trigger from there. It has a short reset. With just a tad of practice, you can pull off fast follow-up shots on target easily.

The slip on grip on my 709 made it a LOT more comfortable to shoot.

Friends don't let friends make custom grips for Tauras's
The Ruger MKIII 22/45 is the worst handgun in history to take apart, but is one of the funnest to shoot...
