hello im dave from california. i have two guns that i purchased years ago that i thought i would trade or sell for a s&w airweight 637.
i purchased both my guns from local dealers but now i find out neither gun is on the approved list of california guns that can be sold.
i have a taurus model 65 357 mag and a davis industries 380.
the taurus has not been fired since purchased new, the davis has been fired 17 times and im aware that the davis is not worth much,if anything.
as it happens im going to nevada next week. im wondering if i could
take my guns to nevada and make a deal there. does anyone know if that would be and option for me. im not looking to skirt the law just want to know if i have any options here. all opinions are welcome. i thought it was strange that the taurus model 66 was on the list since the only difference is that the 66 is stainless and the 65 is blue steel but i have no experience with this, maybe its a mistake i dont know. thank you, dave.
you could sell them in another state sure. Trade them to a shop or whatever you want, but they are not allowed to sell you a firearm that is not on the CA approved list and they must ship it to an FFL near you in CA. That is if you buy something while you're out of state.
