How is .380 availability these days?

I remember it being extremely scarce after a certain individual was voted into the oval office. That was no big deal to me at the time because I've always carried .45's exclusively.

But now I'm interested in a .380 mousegun, specifically a Micro Desert Eagle or possibly an NAA Guardian.

So can .380 be had easier these days or is it still tough to get?

It's hit or miss. My local stores have some in now and then. You just have to keep checking. It's available just not always in stock, and it's still expensive.

+1 on Ammoseek. 380 is easy enough to find online at higher prices ($18/box).

One of the best deals I know of currently is Magtech 380 at SGCUSA for $13.11 per box. However their shipping is high depending on where you live. For me in Virginia, it adds $3 per box.

Haven't had any problems getting .380 ammo in the last couple of months. FMJ is usually about $19./ 50 rounds. Defense rounds are about $25/20 rounds.

Zero at Wally world every time I have looked. Their stock of .40; 9 mm; and to some extent 38 sp has improved.

The related issue to availability is price. I'm really floored at 9 dollar boxes of .22lr mini mags.

I usually buy via the 'net, shipping charges will vary, so change the zip code.gun-deals.com - User-Submitted Gun & Ammunition Deals

Available at most guns stores here. WW hit and miss. Price seems awful high. Supply and demand, I guess.

Whay I never understood was: seeing as so many here would only carry a 120mm or larger, wouldn't depend on a .380 if it was the last round on earth, who sucked all the .380s?

All you really need is six or a few more hollow points, loaded and ready to go.
