    OK I'm converted ......

to Glock pistols, homely things that they are.

Over the past 15 year I have owned several brands of pistols, Walther, Beretta, Sig, Rueger, and Kimber. Never owned or shot a Glock. When wife an I took CCW class in January, the 2 men teaching (both LEOs) bragged on the Glock, the had all 3 offerings in .40 cal. to shoot if you wanted to. My wife shot a G23 and liked it, did better than the little Taurus 9mm I had bought her. So I ordered her one a few weeks ago. Picked it up today along with 2 boxes of WWB shells that looked to be in iffy condition. Drove out to the range, ran a patch down the barrel, wiped the excess shipping oil off and proceeded to burn 200rds through it WOW

No FTF no FTE and some of these rounds looked pretty crusty, was able to put together a decent 15yd group right from the start. If this keeps up on my next trip to the range Sat morning I'm sold and will be ordering one for myself. I never could get used to the difference in the triggers between my 1911 and the DAO of my Sig P250C, but the Glock trigger gave me no trouble. I'm not giving up my Kimber .45 (that would be blasphemous) but the Glock 23 may quickly become my EDC and a P250C will be up for adoption.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh yes...another convert to the Dark Side....
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

Welcome to the family. I have a G22, G23, G26, G26. These things multiply like rabbits in the safe at night. Be careful, your additions to the family are just around the corner.
When I carry a gun, I don't do so because I am looking for a fight, but because I'm looking to be left alone. The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded. I don't carry it because I'm afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid.

What have I been doing wrong all these years? I give them a blanket and a bed, a warm hand now and then. Will Viagra do the trick? I spend a lot more than I'd like to get mine to propagate. Rabbits huh? Dandelion greens?
