    Hello All,

I have finally picked up the handgun I really wanted. I have added an XD45 to my collection. I now have a SIG SP2022, and an XD45. Today I was able to make time to hit the range and put 100 rounds through the XD and frankly I love it. Accurate, and great feel.

I am hoping to get some suggested accessories that I should look into. Thanks all!

congrats....the XD is one fine gun. Im thinking about a full size 45 for around the house. Ive always wanted a nice 1911, but will more likely end up with with a high capacity XD, Glock or XDm. Im really hoping I can get my wife to shoot it. If she can I will install a laser for her. So many guns, so little time and $$.

    Have fun with the XD

Is this a carry pistol or a home defense pistol?

Hmmm, accessories? How 'bout more mags? And more mags.

    Did I mention more mags?

I would like to use it for carry. It is slightly smaller than my Sig. I am debating on which holster to look at. I am a big guy, 6'3" 325, so I doubt I will have issue with concealing.

I am getting my CCW this upcoming week, so for now it is soley home defense.

I have a blackhawk holster for my sig, and I love it. I do not think it will work for carry, so I am trying to figure out which holster.

I could not be happier with the gun at this point as I went out and put another 100 through it today and is very accurate and again handles great!

    Thanks for the input!!!!

I have carried my XD45 Service very comfortably, IWB, for years in a Brommeland Max Con V holster. I too am a big guy, 6' 8" and 295lbs.

I have a 45C and have 26K rounds through it. No issues except for at about 7K I started to get failure to fire, solid hit on the primer but no bang. Did some research and found it its a pretty common problem on the 45C (not sure about the other models) that can be solved by installing AGP +10% mag springs. I ordered 20 of them and they solved my problem.

I have the 45c, and I like that holster. Looks very comfortable. Where did you get that?
