Sometimes I just grab my 442 with no re-load, but usually a speed strip in the other pocket.

When I carry my Rossi M68, I also carry two 5-round speed loaders.

You never know. I may have to shoot more than the original 5 rounds.

I always carry 1 or 2 extra speed strips for my Model 10 or 66 in one of my Rough Pouch speed strip carrier in my pocket.

My primary carry is a modified Model-640 with a moonclip provision. If I’m feeling up to it, I’ll drop a spare moon in my left from pocket.

I always carry extra ammo for my S&W Airweight or my Charter Arms Bulldog. I use speed strips the most in my S&W carry pouch I got along time ago.If I am wearing a jacket or coat I carry three speedloaders. The ammo pouch and speed strip is between my two guns in the pic.

When I carry my S&W 342 in a Smart Carry, I always carry a speed loader in the smaller pocket.

    Revolvers:

SP101 - Speed Strips, and often another firearm. Sometimes, a speedloader, but only if loaded with short-bullet .38 ammo, to lessen the chance of the loader binding against the grips. A loader with magnums can bind against the grip, and I will NOT grind away rubber from the grip, because the resulting new shape will put an edge right on the base joint of my thumb; not a fun prospect with the magnum ammo that is in the cylinder.

J-snub - If carried alone, HKS speedloader, plus Speed Strips.

Medium/Large-frame sixguns: Speedloaders, and sometimes, a Speed Strip.

Autopistol: At least one spare magazine!

Magazines wear out, and I don't want that moment to occur while I am carrying a weapon loaded with that mag. If that moment does occur, I want a spare magazine immediately available. Even when I am carrying a spare firearm, I want at least one reload available. Even walking the Boston Terrorists around the block, I have a reload.
