CZ P01 opinions?
I was looking for some opinions on this CZ model as I handled one and really liked it a lot. Is this considered compact or midsize model in the CZ line?
I'm looking for a hi cap 9mm for HD/CC and like the CZ guns, they seem well made but I have no experience with their products as far as quality and reliability goes. Also does CT make laser grips for this gun? And what's with the nato stock number on the side of the receiver? Does this gun carry/conceal well IWB or OWB? Thanks for any help guys.

Lots of great info on this site:
CZ Forum - Index
I have the CZ 75 Compact PCR. Very similar to the PO1 but without the rail. Compared to their full size CZ handguns, they are compact, and I carry mine OWB. Their RAZI and 380 models are considered subcompact for their line.
Very accurate and reliable and fits my hand great. I now have about 750 rounds through it and haven't had any issues at all.
High Noon makes some very good holsters for CZ handguns.
Best of luck!

CZ's are great guns, I have 3. Awesome value for the money. Highly accurate, very ergonomic. Great quality in both materials and workmanship. My brother in law recently got the P-01 which is known to be highly reliable. This review sold him on it: http://www.madogre.com/interviews/CZP01%20Article.pdf. Disregard the blurb in the article about swapping out the factory guide rod for an aftermarket replacement. That has since been proven to be totally unnecessary and to potentially increase wear on the gun.
I shot it with him last weekend, it was a dream to shoot.
The NATO stock number is printed on the receiver so that NATO procurement officers know how to get more. Not all P-01's have the NATO number on them though. By the way, being the official NATO sidearm is a pretty big deal.
Crimson Trace does support the P-01. The CTC model number is LG-476.
You can conceal carry the CZ-75 P-01 pretty well, it's about a 3.9" barrel. Though there are smaller CZ's such as the CZ 2075 RAMI (3" barrel). Most people can pull off IWB with a CZ-75/variant though they are a bit chunky (double stack magazines). OWB should be no problem.
The P-01 is a good middle-of-the-road size that makes it usable both for CCW and as a house gun.

I had a P-01 until my sister decided it's her gun. So it's no longer mine. I got it cheap too, guy was getting divorce and was selling off his firearms. I loved shooting it, and I still get to shoot it on occasion. I could have carried it if I decided I wanted to. It's a nice size.

I have never heard a bad thing about the P01, and I have heard a lot about them. I have shot one and it shot and handled excellently. The P01 will be my next buy.

I have a P-06, which is the same thing chambered in .40, that's it in the pic. CZ calls it a compact.
A well fitting handgun, I now have four other CZ's.

Hard to beat the CZ's. My EDC is a P-06, .40 version of the P-01. CZ's have some of the best ergonomically designed guns on the market. See link below for the testing the P-01 went through for NATO certification.

I have a P-01 that i have put over 5000 rounds through without a single issue. This is my favorite handgun to shoot and carry. I currently carry it in a comp-tac minotaur holster. If you get it you will not be disappointed
