I carried a Detective Special for a lot of years in the 60's and 70's. I liked it alot. Just remember not to shoot plus-p's in your snake.

Beautiful piece, I love those old snubbies they have so much character and you don't feel bad adding to the holster wear.

Great Gunnybunny! Only honest wear and is a very nice looking Colt! When it arrives, please post a photo of it over in the Super-duper Snubbie thread and give us a shooting report.

I date from the same year but don't look so hot.

I worked ot a sporting goods store some years back 1968/9 i think.
Colt had a neat little belt holster for that gun. I was a hard plastic like material
that slid on the belt and there was a piece that the extractor rod slid down
into. Also had a safety strap over the top if I remember correctly. We sold
a dozen or more to local LEO detectives. Sure wish I had bought a bunch of
Colt's back then, I could be a good bit richer today. LOL.

GB ya got yerself a great gun with lots of character to it!
It's got all the right things, including the original grips, that truly makes it a "Sammy Spade" special (Sam Spade was once a fictional character detective played by Humphry Bogart in the movie The Maltise Falcon)
    Gotta love those classic Colts!
