    Glock Finish

How long does it generally last? I've seen some 2nd Gen and earlier Glocks that look pretty worn. Mine are just a few months old, so still look brand new. I like the aged look on a Glock.

I've carried my G19 almost everyday for three years now and the finish is just barely starting to see some wear. Glock's finish lasts a long time and even with the black oxide finish completely worn away, the metal itself is still protected!

If you want it to look "worn", let the exterior surfaces dry out. Leave it holstered and get all the oil off of the finish. It wont hurt the Glock, and it will soon look worn. Once you get tired of the worn look, wipe it down with a light coating of gun oil. Then it will look brand new again.

I had carried mine for almost 5 years now, day in and day out, in and out of several holsters. Mine still looks cherry. I wish it would show some age, some character...

Mine has been up and running since 1998

I have a G19 with some visible wear on the slide stop and loaded chamber indicator. Happened in less than a year.

I have yet to see any wear on my G23 and it's been my EDC for a while. If anything it only has wear from the range and the polymer frame is slightly dull from handling.

It's kinda hard to see in this picture but if you carry it enough, it will get worn but it just makes it more beautiful!

It is a good, tough finish, but all my GLOCKs show some holster wear after awhile. I don't worry about it either way.

I have a 1st Gen G17 police trade in.............Now, THAT slide has wear!
