I have inquired at 2 LGSs about the timing and it was the end of May. Now they are saying the end of June. We will see.

FYI S&W's website is always higher then you will see in stores. If I had to guess you will see it around the $400-$450 range.
There is something about firing 4,200 thirty millimeter rounds/min that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Not being a collector, I never care about when the first run of a new model hits the dealers. This applies to motor vehicles as well as firearms. First-run/year models all too often have problems. If a vehicle lets me down, I can get out and walk. If a defensive firearm lets me down, the consequences could be much more serious.
I am just starting to consider an LCP, now that it has a track record, including some owned by folks known to me personally. I wish I had been as careful with Kimber pistols; I only waited a year after their introduction, and personally knew only one guy who had them. Well, his were good, but mine were not.

Nah. They are just appealing to the coach potatoes that grew up on fantasy games using fantasy weapons. When they shot a real gun for the first time, they figured out the .380 was all that they could handle. Its all part of the wussification of America and it seems to be working rather well.

Guys, the OP asked a simple question about a particular pistol. Nobody asked for opinions on the Bodyguard, Sigs, Keltecs or the 380 cartridge in general. You'll probably see them around Mid August to Sept 2010 (that's what the S&W Reps are saying)
Not much smaller than a M&P compact, or a PPS Just about the same size as a Keltec PF9
