Opinions please on Glock 36 gun color

I am going to finalize a purchase on a G36. The shop has one in stock in green/black (that mossy army green color on all plastic parts). They can also get one in all black.

I like the green because it's a little different, but I am wondering if there are considerations for using this as an edcc that I have not thought of (surely, yes).

Other than "I like the black because it looks cooler".....are there any points I need to think of when using this as a c-carry/defensive gun?

    Thanks.
    (I already considered re-sale-ability)

I just got my third Olive Drab firearm. I like it, especially when you have a similar model eg. Glock 19, Glock 23 etc. It makes it more difficult to use the wrong ammo for a given firearm. I think it also gives the gun a kind of "military" look.

The only down side I see is maybe in resale, (some just have an aversion to cocky) but I don't buy a gun to trade it off.

It'll be carried concealed, so the finish won't matter. It's all about what catches your eye and steals your heart...

Side note; I've never seen an OD 36. I'm sure it's groovy.

Either one you choose,...It's definitely a fine carry piece.

    Congrats..!!

If you want a different color, Duracoating is always available if they don't make a stock OD.

Tho only thing I can think of is that I'm not sure if anyone is making magazine extensions in green. wouldn't want a black mag extension on a green frame

Oh, wait. Wrong forum. Just a reflex. Too much Michigan State University history.

    Cammo girl,

Buy what you like. Don't wory about resale. It's a Glock, you won't be selling it. It is concealed so only you should care what it looks like. Different color mag extensions? Again, it's concealed, only you should care what it looks like.

    Go for it.

If you are going to wear olive drab colored clothing the OD green may be less noticeable if ever un-concealed. Maybe, hell it made sense when I thought of it.

For me personally a GLOCK is a black gun. Call me old school but I like red tool boxes, chrome bumpers, and black GLOCKS.

    Thanks people.

I have no immediate plans for expanding the Glock family, but maybe an "only Glock" is not a healthy environment. Maybe I could have an unplanned Glock if I don't pay attention in the heat of the moment at a gun shop. I can see how having different colors could be nice for that reason as one of you pointed out.

I got my XD9sc in OD Green simply because I was tired of all black guns and wanted a change.

Black does start to get boring when you start acquiring a lot of black guns. I have a black G-23, a black Colt Officers .45 and a black Para P-12 .45 and a couple of evil black rifles. Sometimes I have to break out my Stainless revolvers just to admire their beauty.

I like the OD green, but it really doesn't change anything regarding concealed carry. It's simply a color that remains hidden from view if I'm doing my job of carrying correctly.

I say, go for it, if you like the way it looks. I don't regret my decision.
