    New Carry gun

    Picked this up yesterday:

FNH FNX 40. Put 150 rnds through it yesterday and no issues at all.

It's indentical to my .45 other than being slightly smaller. So it's easier to conceal and cheaper to practice with.

I can also get a .357 barrel for $150 and it can be .357 SIG compatible simply by swapping the barrels.

For right hand carry, I have a Galco leather OWB holster. For left hand or IWB carry, I have a cheapo Uncle Mike's nylon ambi holster. I am currently shopping for a left side quality leather holster.

FNH makes some really nice guns. The FNX will replace the FNP. Congrats on a really good choice.

Congrats. I'm curious if they improved the trigger / hammer on the FNX over the FNP. Does it feel / sound the same? What I did not like about the FNP was the hammer felt like a toy - a cap gun...otherwise I liked it a lot. I do like the looks of the FNX better.

FNH seems to have a good reputation, congrats... I am guessing its DA/SA with a decocker which can function as an additional first shot safety?
