    What is up with some pistol pics....

    ...with shotgun shells, etc., stuffed in trigger guards? why not just lay the gun on it's side & take a picture of it? does the 30 degree angle tilt really show more detail?

    just wondering.... maybe i'm missing something.

    It just makes for a more visually interesting photo...nothing more complicated than that.

    I used a flashlight in some of these photos of a Kahr PM45 for that reason...

    Thanks, guys.

    The photos were taken outside under the patio. No flash photography used, just good ol' natural lighting.

    For the two taken on wood, I used an old wooden rotten plank that I had stock piled. I wet it to momemtarily restore the rich redish finish and snapped a few shots.

    Personally, I use a tooth pick behind the gun to hold it up at an angle!
