it's a re-make of the P245 with an extended beavertail, and converted to SA. Personally I prefer the P245 SA/DA gun as it was German MFg..... I once worked for Sig about 4 yrs ago when they first introduced the 556 and the P220R3 guns.
I prefer the German Mfg guns myself.

It looks like this pistol is not very known. It perhaps is because it is not a catalog item; the P220 Compact appears to be the same gun in SA/DA.

I like the controls on it.

I had a P220 Compact SAS. Basically the same gun with a melt job and a DAK trigger (though it did still have the beavertail).

It was pretty snappy for a .45 and the perceived recoil was much worse than my G36. This is because the Sig has a relatively high bore axis. I love my P220 Carry SAO, but the little P220 just wasn't for me. My combat tupperware has much faster followup shots.

All that being said, it was accurate and never failed to go bang. I'm also not sorry I traded it way. I'd advise test firing one if possible before you drop the cash. For me, I just don't like the small Sigs. Love the big ones though.

No experience in that model, but the only reason I got into a SIG P220 was for the SAO model. That model looks sweet.
