Glock 22 and 27 trigger swap

So as I sit here bored, I decided to swap my Gen 2 Glock 22 and Gen 3 27 triggers as I really prefer the smooth 22 trigger but have my 27 as my EDC and fire it at the range much more frequently. From what I've read, I think this is okay to do and they both feel good.

Other than the 22 trigger being smooth, everything else looks the same on my 27. Is there something I'm not aware of that could cause a problem?

They are identical except for the smooth face tigger. I put the smooth trigger w/ trigger bar in all of my Glocks as I share your opinion of their comfort for a long day of shooting.

You won't have any problems. Enjoy.

The grooved trigger counts as a "target trigger" for import points on the smaller gun. I have smooth ones on all my Glocks.

Ahhhh, so the import points are the primary reason behind the grooved trigger? Crazy. I need a new recoil spring for my 22 anyways so I guess I'll order a new 22 trigger while I'm at it so I can enjoy smooth on both.

Since we are talking about one being a 2nd generation large frame, and the other a 3rd generation sub-compact. Thing is, you want to make sure and function test your new assembly. With the slide off the frame, make sure the gap between the frame and the trigger bar won't allow the trigger bar to ride over the top of the connector and get wedged in between. I think some of the earlier trigger w/trigger bar assemblies were a bit thinner metal on the bar. I'm going to have to check into this more, as I've found some differences in my 3rd gen G17 2-pin frame, and my others that are the 3-pin frames.
I've put new (current issue) G17 smooth triggers in all of my compact and sub compact Glocks with no issues.

If you go searching for a specific G22 trigger assembly, you'll be searching for a long time. I've never seen one listed. What you're looking for is the G17 trigger w/trigger bar #SP00357. Fits the G17, 22, 31, 34, and 35.

Ahh, I didn't think to check the thickness. Thanks Ramrod for the heads up on this. I'll check this out tonight with calipers.

And as far as the G22 trigger w/ bar, yeah, that #SP00357 is what I am going to get.
