Beretta clone absolutely, A polymer gun I'm still up in the air. My PT-101 has thousands of rounds through it without a glitch (knock on wood).

No way that I should get use a Taurus for SD. Actually, I should not get a Taurus at all.

I carry a 24/7 9mm and a PT111, no problems with either one of them.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

I don't own either of those two models but I do carry a pt957 from time to time. It has gone boom every single time I've pulled the trigger.

Bet I'm part of the 5% that likes Taurus.

What he said with a lower round count!! Actually, I do not count rounds down the pipe over boxes of ammo fired and that is not always through the one gun at range time. If I can put a box of ammo through a gun and it eats it I figure the gun will go bang when I ask it to in real life!!!

    I carry a PT1911. I don't feel any disadvantage to carry it.

Have a friend that regularly carries the PT111. It's always been reliable for him. I have a Taurus 605 revolver that's been 100% since new and gets carried often.

My PT709 has 1050 rounds through it without a single issue. Very accurate and easy to carry. I'd take it anywhere.

I carry a 85UL that I trust with my life. My TCP 738 is almost there, I want to put 100 rounds through it before its my EDC. Taurus seems to be hit or miss. My buddy has the 24/7 .45. He trusts it.

With that being said, in regards to your question, your about to receive some thread crappers who are going to bash Taurus instead of just saying no. To each his own.
