Springfield XD9 - Range report and pics... Newest addition to my family

Hey all,

Took my new (to me) Springfield XD9 to the range twice, having put 250 rounds through it, it has functioned flawless, and is an excellent gun to shoot. I'm hitting 2-3" groups at 15 yards. I'm very pleased. This is my first Springfield, and won't be my last!

I also took my wife out(first time since she was 16) and my best friend shooting this weekend. He loved the feel of the Springfield after I bought it he took his Glock 22 and traded it in for a Springfield XD40! He never liked the grip on the Glock and it was given to him by his father, so he never felt like it was "his". Anyway, here's a few pictures!

Traded a Glock for an XD
The only thing I would suggest from looking at your pictures is to have your wife change her grip. It appears as though she isn't holding the gun high enough on the back strap

Nice gun...You might want to check out this video for proper grip. I personally, along with many others, do NOT feel that a grip using the support hand palm under the weapon grip is a stable platform for shooting. What say others on this???
