Going to put a new pistol on layaway tomorrow!

Going to my gun shop and putting a new pistol on layaway. One that I am going to be purchasing specifically for CC.

Now I just have to decide between Kahr, Taurus, Glock, and XDm :D

Erm...accidentally posted this to the wrong place, sorry. Can I get it moved? Thanks!

Well what exactly are you looking for?
You are probably better off removing Taurus from the list now

I'd get the Glock, that's only if you want dependability...

Glock-26 (or 19) for 9mm, or the Glock-36 for .45...just pick up a Glock-36 and get the feel of it in your hand...unlike any other Glock.

Take Taurus off the list. I'm not a fan of the XDm, but my coworkers are.

get the Kahr PM9 or Glock 19 or 26, or Kahr P45 or Glock 30 for .45 acp. Glock 23 or 27 or Kahr CW40 for .40 cal.

Taurus is cheap and unreliable. and I dislike the grip safety on the XD, don't want to rely on it in an emergency

What caliber? I would look at the XDM 3.8 if you are looking at the 9 or 40. I would also look at the Sig 2022 and the FNP or FNX 9 or 40.

Remove Taurus fromn the list, unless you want to be aggravated, send the gun back and forth to the factory and wonder if it WILL WORK, if you need it.

If you want a gun made right, the FIRST time, that will WORK every time, go GLOCK.

I agree with other posts; I should remove Taurus from that list immediately. Kahr, Glock and XDm are good pistols; it just depends of your needs and what you like.

Agreed! I will add that a GLOCK 19 is a great all around pistol and will exceed your expectations. It's my EDC, HD, competition, and favorite range gun.

Take the Taurus off the list and add the SA XD40SC, it's at least worth a look!

XDm is a great gun, but if you're new to CC, it takes a lot more work to conceal.

XD subcompacts are nice guns, too. Or, the S&W M&P or Glock 26/27/33, if either of those fit you better, they're all three of them roughly equivalent.

The Kahrs are pretty nice, assuming yours doesn't give you any trouble. Mine was really finicky until it broke in, at about its stated break-in of 400 rounds. While I appreciate them being honest about the needed break-in, I really think guns should run out of the box.

but you should also be proficient with your firearm before carrying it, so you should have a few hundred rounds through it anyways.
