    Ruger GP100 with Pics

I picked up a new GP100 yesterday. I haven't had a chance to take it to the range yet for it's maiden range session, but wanted to share some pics of the new gun. The only change that I am planning on making is swapping out the front sight with a HiViz. I do have a couple of Wolff Springs on the way, but this trigger and trigger pull is a totally different beast from my SP101. Not sure I will even swap out the trigger return spring. The trigger itself is more rounded and doesn't pinch my shooting finger like my SP101 did before I took some fine grit sandpaper to it.

    Overall, I am extremely pleased!

My SP101 got jealous of all the new attention the GP was getting, so I took a picture of it along side the GP100.

There, now everybody's happy! I think they will get along just fine once they get to know each other!

    Nice guns!

Great looking wheel guns, the SP101 looks exactly like mine, grips and all. I love mine. Congrats.

Nice looking wheel guns...I have an SP101 2" and changed the hammer spring, but left the trigger return spring stock. If you haven't checked out "ruger forum dot com" There's some pretty good info about smoothing out the trigger without losing reliability, from a retired gunsmith.
