Just got a raise and a bonus! should I get some nigh sights? and maybe a light for nightstand duty?
If so, any brands you'd recommend I take a look at?
or should I spring for the PM9 ?

I just put night sights on my new glock...and they help in more ways than one...
I can easily see it at night in the draw next to the bed...and even in daylight, the dots are clearer (to me) than the stock...so the $112 was worth it...
On the other hand, if the bonus was big enough to consider another weapon....Hmmmmmmmm

I put Tru-Glo Night Sights on mine. Bright Green Light Tubes during the day. Bright Tritium Tubes at Night. I can see them without my glasses.
TruGlo TFOs Fiber optic for day time and Tritium inserts for low/no light. Have them on everyone of my Glocks

Go with XS Big Dots ot Trijicon 3 dots. Then get a Surefire X200 or x300 WML. for night stand duty, and a small hand held flashlight to go with it like a surefire, Fenix etc. Search with the handheld, identify targets with the WML.

lets just say the bonus would get me a wilson combat or night hawk customOn the other hand, if the bonus was big enough to consider another weapon....Hmmmmmmmm
I've heard good things about surefire
All my Glocks have TFOs. Of all the sets I've installed for customers only one sight has failed. A rear sight tube died a few days after install and TG replaced it. My nightstand Glock 17 has a Procyon strobe on it. No worries at all with it.

Congratulations on the raise and bonus! If you want night sights, I would recommend Glock night sights. They are made by Meprolight. I have them on all of my Glocks and I like them better than my old Trijicons. They are quick to aquire a sight picture.
If you want a light, I recommend something from Surefire. I carry an E2e as an off-duty/ back up on duty which is pretty bright for a pocket light. They make much brighter ones if you want something strictly for a night stand. I carry a G2 LED on duty. It is bright enough and the batteries last 12 hours.

It is better to have your gun and not need it, than to need it and not have it!
You cannot choose the conditions for a gunfight, so train in all conditions!
I got the TFO on my glock, they good but the only complaint I have is the front sight you have to put glue on the screw
XS Big Dots are a must...
As for a light, I personally have a SF X300, but it is really unnecessary. I good streamlight weapon light works just fine. You could also get away with just a handheld light.
If you haven't taken any training, I would get some professional training over the weapon light.
