    An interesting older "custom" carry?

This came in to the shop today. It is my first exposure to an older "custom". Thought you all might enjoy seeing pics of it. This is just as it came in. The only thing that I am concerned about at all is the rollmarks are really light and might present some challenges with re-polish and refinish. You can see that it had some gold leaf in the rollmarks and the original re-polish appears to have been pretty aggresive.

A true classic! I'm sure it can still bring home the bacon (or keep it safe).

If you're concerned you'll lose the rollmarks with a re-finish, you might contract Bill Adair, he does fantastic work and reapplies the rollmarks by hand engraving.

    Nice late model 70, BTW.

from what i can see re cutting the rollmarks might well be an option to explore , i would express concern to the customer and see what they said about it .
