    Got $1000 for...

..some new firepower. I have a CZ P-07 for truck carry and was wanting something in .45. I am a big 1911 fanbut I also love wheel guns . What do you guys recommend for CC in that caliber.
Also, if I am thrifty with my dough, I could get two, one for carry and one for the house. Recommendations???

how do you carry your 30? I wrapped my hand around a 36 today and it felt good but it is thinner than the 30.

M&P45 compact 8+1 round capacity, just as reliable as a Glock... Ambidex slide release, lower bore axis (yes), reversible mag release, three removable back straps, tactical rail, Made in USA can't beat it! good luck

Accuracy ALWAYS WINS! So carry what you can hit with.

If you find yourself in a fair fight your tactics stink.

    Pick 2 of these 3: GLOCK 30, 36, or 21.
Or 2 of 1 of the above.

Not quite as nice as other 1911s but for $1000 you could get two RIAs then you have one for the house and one for the truck.

Ya know, I forgot about a RI 1911. At that price I could get that and an SP101. I don't think anyone in my area carries RI though.

    1911 in Commander length

The .45 I have used the most for CCW is a Kimber Pro CDP, a 1911 with 4 inch barrel, aluminum frame, 28 ounce empty weight and 8+1 capacity. The gun has a factory "melt job" so it is very smooth and contoured, factory night sights and front strap checkering. With slim grip panels the overall thickness is about 1 inch or less, so it conceals easily. I have about 1200 rounds through it and it hasn't failed to feed or eject, so I trust it. Recoil is reasonable and accuracy is good.

It costs about $1,000, so it fits your budget.

If you're going to carry one weapon, might as well carry two, because as the saying goes, "Two is one, and one is none."
