that's the going rate in my neck of the woods in SC, a little less than S&W, a little more than Charter Arms and Taurus.

Just curious: what made you decide on the LCR? I have seen them, but don't know enough about their positives. Be nice to hear what made you pull the trigger on that particular model.

Nice revolver . Congrats and enjoy!
Concerning your question about if you got a deal or not; if you are like the gun and you do not regret buying it then you got a good deal.

Yup, you did good. I have one already, but want one of the new .357 models coming out. Instead of alloy wrapped around the steel barrel they are stainless steel, just have the polymer grip section. Little more weight to help recoil (even with 38's), but stronger.

Hey bubbiesdad: A long time ago I learned a valuable lesson about purchasing things I really wanted and loved to have. DO NOT QUESTION YOUR DECISION ONCE YOU HAVE MADE THE PURCHASE. All you get is a degree of reinforcement if all responses are in agreement with you BUT finding out that you have been "had" taints the heck out of what was suppose to be a satisfying purchase. You're happy? Enjoy the moment, enjoy the firearm and don't find reasons that will ruin your "moment".
