Question Driving from Maine to upstate NY (need advice)

I have posted that I will be attending a family reunion in August in Ethica, NY. Before I hit the NH border I have to disarm. I have a short drive through NH, then into Mass and into NY.

I would enjoy having my Glock's with me when I make this trip and I plan on purchasing two COM safes for each Glock.

So with that said I've never had to travel with a firearm locked up in my trunk. I know the basics from reading other post but I'm hoping you folks can give me some good advice.

I know I can research things online myself but what I read is not always clear. So these are the questions I have.

    1. Am I in the clear in all 3 states if the gun is unloaded and secured in my trunk.

    2. I do plan on having two magazines for each Glock and they will also be unloaded but where is the best place to store them.

    3. Where is the best place to store the ammunition.

    4. One of my Uncle's works at the hotel I will be staying at but I have no clue if they have a no guns policy but if nothing is posted can I bring my Glock's into the hotel room and have them loaded. I could call him and ask him and I might just do that but he might not know the law.

So with that said. I welcome any advice. I'd really don't want to leave them at home but if that is my best option I will. I'll go naked for 4 days than risk being arrested for a dumb decision.

Done in one post it seems. That is why I asked. They will have to stay at home.
