    I'm Taurus Free

I had a nice "Taurus-Be-Gone" day today. First, I sold the PT145 to the place where I was picking up my new M&P 45 Compact (), then applied the money toward the M&P.

Next, the TCP that was sent back for a broken trigger had made it back to Gander Mountain yesterday. So when I went over, instead of taking it home, I sold it to them. Yes, I took it in the shorts like I knew I would. No, I won't give details about how bad it was.

So two buying mistakes have now been reversed. I'm happy.

    But a couple of notes:

When I checked out the TCP, there was a summary of what they had done; adjusting a spring, replacing whatever-it-was, etc... But the trigger still had that cheap "sproingggg!" sound and feel to it. Good riddance.

I got into a conversation with the guy while we were waiting for my money on the TCP sale. I explained the magazine stupidity with the PT145. So we popped out the mag that was in the new one behind the case. Next we compared it side by side with a factory replacement mag from the shelf. Guess what? Whooda thunk it? They're still selling the PT145 with the WRONG mags! Good riddance.

So anyway, I'm happy to be rid of them both.

My name is Rollo and I have been Taurus free for 4 months. Sold my PT709 and bought a Glock 26 and traded my PT145 for a Remington 870. Couldn't be happier.

Yeah, I remember your thread and it was an eye-opener. And to think that it was a revolver that did this.
