Just give in, it's easier. First the 19, then the 23,the 30...and there are a lot more numbers. Welcome to the Dark Side!

My father visited me and he knows I'm a gun owner. So before he arrived he asked if I'd be able to arrange a visit to a range and do some shooting. Oh yeah!

So we went to an indoor range. I got him set up with ear and eye protection, and had my .357s ready with various .38 and .357 ammo to try out. Just for fun I rented a Glock 19 for his evaluation as well.

I told him that the Glocks are legendary for their reliability, and that the 9mm would be a good choice for HD purposes. On his first mag, he got a FTE.

Needless to say, the revolvers did their thing perfectly, as they always do. But both he and I learned beyond a shadow of a doubt that day that semi-autos are not reliable.

My buddy came over with a new gen-4 the other day. They FINALLY got the grip right.
Now I've gone from "no way" to putting it at least second on the list of future purchases.

Now I read this. Maybe a Glock 19 will feel right in my hands now. I shall wait and see.

Now, I am not a Glock guy, never even shot one, but this is the first I've ever heard of a FTE, FTF, or otherwise from a Glock... I have a Ruger P345, and after thousands of rounds, the only Feed jam I ever had was on the 98th round ever fed to it.

I would like to shy away from saying that auto's are unreliable because of one experience, on one firearm that you neither own nor maintain your self.

Glocks are hard to beat! I can't see how you could go wrong with a G19. And, just for the record, I'm carrying an M&P 9mm and just bought an M&P .45AP, but I really like Glocks. The trigger reset is the best, bar none, and they are as reliable as a gun can get.

I'm going to blame this whole fiasco on RamRod...Curses! I mean, really! Who wants a plastic gun? Steel is real and all that good stuff!!!

But it just points so well and I just...I...I....I must obey.

You won't do it.... you're too chicken....(chicken noise chicken noise chicken noise) LMAO.... Now you have to buy one, I almost dared you lol.

Enjoy it, Glocks are addictive, and like mentioned before so many numbers to choose from.

For the record, I don't think the 19s are available in Gen 4 yet. I have a 17 in Gen4 and its pretty nice. I know there is a 19 in the rtf2 frame. But 19s rock.

Does the Gen-4 feel that much different?

The Siren call of the Glock 19 did not tempt me.

Instead, this is what I heard calling out to me:

    -----------------------------
    I own too many handguns.
