Great idea and fine lookin' 1911. My question is.... has the web of your strong hand ever been bitten between the beavertail and the grip safety when you release?

Thanks and good question. The 'seam' is too small for skin to get in.
I'm too young to be this old!

Wow, very nice 1911. I'm very new to the platform and don't know much at all about the intricacies regarding the style of pistol, but I do know that I shoot way better with my Kimber than any other pistol I own. I've pretty much decided to allocate all my future purchases to be focused on the various 1911 style of pistols. I'm not real interested in spending two grand on any pistol, but for a quality 1911, I can see me getting pretty close for one along the lines of the one in your picture.
My next one will most likely be the commander size. I had a Colt Officers ACP years ago when I was to young to appreciate it. I'm very happy with my Ultra, but after a couple of trips the GS, I've figured out that the longer sight radius isn't any more difficult to conceal than my 3" Kimber. Oh well, my inventory isn't any worse off from the purchase and it's basically sold me on the 1911 and
what the platform offers.
Again nice pistol! I bet it shoots a good as it looks.

Very nice pistola, and I can see why you have the timely urge to bring it along.

That needs to be carried at least some of the time. To nice to sit in the safe.
We will be much better off when we learn to deal with things as they really are, instead of how we wish them to be!
