Accuracy in the Glock 19 or 26...

Does anyone know if the Glock 19 or 26 is extremely accurate? I mean, I plan to shoot very often once I get one of those, but I love to shoot long range. I often wondered if either one of those can hit an apple (or similar sized object) at 50 yards with a laser. Anyone have any opinions or any other suggestions?

Glocks are combat handguns, not target guns. An apple at 50 yrds? I doubt it. Laser or no laser.

A laser isnt going to help much. But, both guns are certainly capable of it, the 19 will make it a little easier to do your part.

Here's a thread with several youtube links. Glocktalk member hickok45 shooting his G26 short and long range up to 100ydrs and beyond. There's a video somewhere with him shooting either a G26 or G27 up to 150-200yrds. I know...ridiculous, but super nice guy and obviously a great shot.

For me, a stock G26 is more accurate than I am and I don't really consider myself able to offer much on ultimate accuracy of a firearm but I've been impressed with my shooting of the weapon as well as others.

EDIT - forgot the darn link: http://www.glocktalk.com/forums/show....php?t=1149834

you can do it with either, although it'll be much harder with the 26. if you're looking for a tack driver, get a 1911. striker fired polymers aren't match guns.

hickock has people donating ammo. no telling how much shooting it took for him to do that. also, that sort of accuracy is capable from any quality auto.

Glock27/ KaBar TDI/ MTAC Holster. I have more also, but this combination works well..

I think once you get to know your way around the trigger you'll be happy with a G19.

I know what and how I can 'hit' something in my space at a Wally World parking lot. A dirtbag at 50 yards gives me plenty of space to either get into my car and leave or go back into the store and call 911.

If you are looking for a reliable self defense weapon, the G26 and G19 are right at the top of the chain. With that being said, if you are looking to target shoot for accuracy at distance, then my reply would be "most" guns are as good as the operator. JMO
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

Their are, relatively speaking, few people that could hit an apple at 50 yards regardless of the SD gun they use.

The 19 would be your best bet as far as the gun goes, what YOU shoot more accurately is another story. Both are great self defense/combat handguns, my EDC is a 19 and I'm coveting my wife's 26.

I suggest looking at hickok45's videos on youtube. the gun is most likely more accurate than most shooters.
