I have one (I had two but sold one to a friend) and they are outstanding little pistols. Once you get it take off the grip panels and soak the whole thing in a gladware container full of mineral spirits and occasionally agitate the solvent to liberate the cosmoline. The gun is 100% steel so you can soak it just don't soak the plastic grips. I left mine soaking in the sun for a couple hours. After that I lubed it up and it is a great shooter. The fixed barrel makes it very accurate.

The moderator (normsutton) on there is a gunsmith and offers springs and small parts should you need anything.

Best of luck with your new pistol.

BTW: Don't listen to all the recoil sensitive wussies that say you have to change the springs. My P-64 shoots great and is bone stock. Shoot it before you decide to make any changes.

Bought one last year, then after a session at the range bought another! Sold one 6 months ago, and just replaced it! Back to a pair, and may buy another few just to have in my collection. A solid steel PPK-style pistol, never had any failures with mine, and the 9MM Makarov is cheap enough to get in plenty of practice. Fits in any PPK holster, and all for under $200! One of the best deals in guns this century! (the other is the CZ-82)
Make sure to post up some pics: it's a great little pistol!

NOTE: I have my 03FFL, so my cost buying from a distributor was under $200delivered... $250 from a dealer is still a nice deal!

I think you did really well. I have a C&R FFL so I can get a stock P64 cheaper but with the nice wood grips and 200 rounds of 9mm mak you did well at $250. And the gun you picture looks in fine shape. Now get a Makarov, a CZ82, FEG PA63 and Polish P83 and get full membership in the 9x18 club.........

Qualifier on the P-64 fitting any PPK holster:

The P-64 will fit in most manufacturers' holsters for the PPK. However, any rig made from Kydex will need to be test-fitted. Leather will stretch here and there, and most leather rigs are cut to fit most weapons in the same basic frame and slide length, with comparable trigger guards.
I have found most rigs from Desantis, Galco, and Bianchi for the PPK fit the P-64 just fine. Kydex however is a different material, and some p-64's fit the PPK, and some require that you use the Makarov or Sig 230/232 for a proper fit. Just wanted to clarify! Always better to test fit before you buy!
