    Stop me

Ok I had a bad day at the range! I took my toys to the range for some playtime and to really tune my skills with my glock 20. I just can't get it to perform like I want! It's not the gun its me! I had a glock 22 years ago I got rid of because of the same problem. I have two choices i think.
    1. Buy a second glock and practice a LOT! Only ammo I have for the 10 mm is double tap and I don't have thousands to spend.

    2. Sell the 10mm and buy into the Springfield XDM, or S&W M&P line.

I would like a larger cal compact carry gun (45) and a full size 9mm in the same brand for the range. I really like the 10mm but It's killing my wallet.

    You're shooting double-tap to plink!?!?!?!?!??

    Here's what you do:

"New Canned Heat" 10mm 180gr Full Metal Jacket 1000pk

    or if that's too much:

"New Canned Heat" 10mm 180gr Full Metal Jacket 500pk
    Billy
Fusion Tact-5 in a Pure Kustom Black-Ops Pro
Glock 23 in a Barber Leatherworks IWB

Practice with the georgia arms stuff. Only .40 cents a round if you buy in bulk it's cheaper.

    "NEW" 10mm 180gr Full Metal Jacket 100pk

9mm is around .30 and .45 is around .45 cents a round right now anyway.

or invest in reload equipment and reload your own.

I knew there are more options for ammo but I had double tap on hand. 250 rounds later and I think me and glocks just aren't ment to be, or maybe I am just jumping the gun.

Its the "glock grip I think" at 10 yards and under I can keep them money. Anything further and I can't hold a group I am sure its me. I can hold baseball size groups at 20 and softball groups at 30 with a 1911 all day, and I know the G20 is capable just not in my hands it seems.

Maybe too big a grip for you...either look in to a grip reduction like this

Bowie Tactical Concepts Home Page or....

    get a smaller Glock like the 30 or 36 or 29 even, maybe a 40 cal like a 23.

It really isnt the grip angle which is about 103 compared to the 1911 109, it is the back strap.

Here is what you do, give Cope Reynolds a call at Southwest Shooting Authority Southwest Shooting Authority -Guns, ammo, firearms training. Farmington, NM let him know what your issue is with the grip angle. Send it up to him and have him do his magic for ya. he does great work on the G20 and carries one himself. Then you get to keep a great weapon in a great caliber, or your second option is to wait on the Gen 4 with interchangeable back straps.

I have never been one to care about grip angle, I workem regardless but I do understand some people have issues and hopefully one of those two solutions will keep ya happy.

Thanks for the info. I do love the 10mm and the glock platform. Any idea what some back strap magic will cost me??

I hate to guess but maybe it's the 10mm round itself. Try a milder load and see if that helps. Double Tap loads ain't exactly powder puff loads and might not be the best thing to start your 10mm journey with.
If your really enamored with the Glock 20 and 10mm, I'd hang on to it a while longer. Buy a 17 or a 19 and shoot the snot out of it.

I would only get into 10mm if I reloaded.

I practice with GA arms standard FMJ from time to time. Not dirty and never had a bad round.
