    Kahr PM9 + Options

So I have been doing all my normal pre-purchase research on my next gun buy and have decided to go with a Kahr PM9 w Night sights included. I would appreciate if I could get some brief responses to the following points before I put down the green:

    1) If you own one, what do you carry it in? (I am required to wear slacks and a tucked in dress shirt for work. I was thinking CB mini tuck, etc.)

1a) For anyone with a crossbreed holster in general: Do you have to tuck in your shirt for these holsters to be effective? When I am not working I do not tuck my shirts in. (This seems like a no brainer to me, I don't see any reason why they wouldn't work but I don't own one yet so I wanted to double check)

    2) Crimson Trace, yes/no? (just looking for opinions here)

    3) Magazine issues. **I am fully aware of the issue with the 7 rnd mag so please do not start a discussion as to its details/or start kahr bashing posts. Thanks**
What I am interested in hearing is whether anyone had success with other mags, such as ProMag's magazines. If so which model. Or just simply reply to this one as: "3) No Mag Issues." if you didn't have problems.

    4) Overall are you satisfied with the gun?

    5) What did you pay for NIB?

    Thanks.

I have a PM9 and like it very much, I carry it in the pocket in either a Uncle Mike's size 4 and a Desantis Neimisis. I think the uncle mike's prints less both work fine in most pockets. IWB I use the High Noon Hidden Ally tuckable http://www.highnoonholsters.com/Prod...dden_ally.html

The PM9 shot great out of the box, I have 250 rounds with no malfunctions. I am looking at a Kahr in 45 acp because of the PM9.

I do not the CT sighting system.

    1) I carry mine in a CB Minituck
1a) I normally carry mine with straight cut shirts, that are not tucked in
    2) I have a CT on mine. I like it.
    3) I have no mag issues. I have 5 Kahr mags, 3 normal, 2 extended. I have a little over 600 rounds thru it with no issues.
    4) I love it. Very easy to conceal and a great little shooter.

    1) If you own one, what do you carry it in?
I carry mine in a CrossBreed MiniTuck and love it.
    2) Crimson Trace, yes/no?
Yes, I don't feel that it is a necessity but it is very helpful when learning the long trigger pull of a Kahr.
    3) Magazine issues.
    None.
    4) Overall are you satisfied with the gun?
Love the gun, I was on the fence with this gun because it seemed like a lot of people were having problems so I decided to taking a chance and over
1,000 rounds later no one single hiccup. Will shoot anything I feed it.
    5) What did you pay for NIB?
    NIB with night sights $699

I also have a PM9 and I carry in a CB Mini Tuck and Have a CT laserguard mounted on the pistol and I second just about everything bps3040 stated here. The PM9 is just an outstanding compact CCW handgun, certain one of the best on the market today.

    1a.) N/A
2.) No CT on my PM9 but I do have them on 5 of my other carry guns and would recommend them to anyone

    1) If you own one, what do you carry it in?

I originally carried mine in a Don Hume Leather Pocket Holster. And yes, it did print a bit with jeans, but most would never notice. In dress slacks I never had a problem printing. I have since added a laser and use a Desantis Nemisis Pocket Holster that accomodates the laser. The holster is a soft material and it really doesn't print even with jeans.

    1a) N/A

    2) Crimson Trace, yes/no? (just looking for opinions here)

YES. I didn't at first, but I'm glad I have it now.

I've had No Mag Issues. Zero from day one. I've got atleast 450 rounds through it.

    4) Overall are you satisfied with the gun?

I'm Extremely satisfied with the gun. So much, I rarely carry anything else.

    5) What did you pay for NIB?

I don't remember for sure, but I think $550 with night sights.

    1. A Tucker Silent Thunder IWB tuckable Kydex/Leather single belt clip holster.
    2. No for any laser. It distracts you during a very high stress situation.
    3. I use Kahr mags. I tweaked the top flanges to align straight and no problems.
    4. VERY satisfied. Carry it every day all day.
    5. I paid $640 NIB.

    1. Fist K#4 or Fist pocket holster
    2. No laser. Yes night sights (meprolights. I wish there were ameriglo pro operators for it though)
    3. If you mean rounds falling out of a mag loose in the pocket, then yes. Haven't used any other brand than Kahr. Not a big deal. Had many other problems initially, but fixed now.
    4. For a long time, I would have said no, and felt like I wasted time and money, but now that it has been fixed, and running perfectly for >500 rounds, I am very satisfied. I still think it is the perfect combination of size/weight/firepower/ergonomics. The perfect "citizen's gun."
    5. $600 OTD

Thanks so far to everyone that has posted. As an additional question:

    6) For those that have dealt with customer service (wormtown), how have they been overall? Speed, friendliness, have they been straight to the point or do they screw around, etc.?

    1. Fist #1 kydex or Alessi talon plus or fist #5 kydex pocket holster.
1a. Don't have one, but want one. If you plan on carrying all day I think the minituck is a must. I have multiple 1 clip holsters cheep and expensive ones, their good till about the 5 or 6 hour mark then become uncomfortable to me.
    2. NA
    3. No mag issues 1200+ rounds
    4. Very, Shoots any thing I feed it. Small enough to carry in any situation, front pocket, rear pocket, iwb, ankle. Powerful enough to not feel under gunned.
    5. $550 stainless no NS.
    6. Good to deal with. Fast response. No issues.

Dealt with Ian. A little screwing around with sending me various parts at first, but once it was clear that wasn't going to do it, it was pretty painless. They can be a little difficult to reach by phone, though. Email seems to work well.

    1) Carry daily in a CB mini tuck. Great holster, so very happy with it.
1A) I never tuck, no problem.
    2) No, personal option. I choose to spend the extra cash on ammo to train.
3)Only use the 6 & 7 rd factory mags. Mags function fine but do not drop when released.
    4) Great summer gun, would definitely buy again.
    5) Paid $600 without night sites

love my PM9 had it over 2 years and have about 1000 rounds thru it and no issues. Carry everyday in either a Galco matrix 7x or a fobus paddle. The galco is superior and the gun disappears. If short on clothing I will wear it in an ankle holster. It will fit in a pocket all day with a floded piece of cardboard to break up it's outline. And finally if shorts and tank top, a smart carry makes the carry possible. Customer service is great though I have not needed to use them other than for some clarification on function. I love the gun and would not hesitate to buy another, but no need to since this one seems like it will last forever. I does not like being dirty. Not that it will not function it just sounds gritty and likes being clean and lightly lubed.

I have a PM 9 with CT laserguard most of the time I carry it in a Desantis Nemesis either front or back pocket carry according to what I am wearing.
