    What do federal agencies issue?

Just curious if there is a web site, database or another thread (I couldn't find one) that has what service handgun is currently being issued to the various federal agencies. FBI, Secret Service, etc... Also state trooper/DPS officers.

No, there isn't. You'll have to search forums like these and use google to find that info.

Varies agency to agency. There are some lists floating around the internet as to who issues what, but the info is usually outdated.

I know that the Department of Homeland Security and customs and border patrol use HK P2000's in .40 S&W. (also saw this going through the border not long ago, thought about trying to talk about HK with the border guard but decided against it.. besides, there was a line..

Also an "aviation branch" of homeland security, made up of highly trained volunteers uses HK USP compacts in .40 S&W.

Not sure about others but I'm sure you can find a pretty wide variety out there. Its a big government...

    Yes and no...

    Border Patrol issues H&K P2000 in .40 S&W.
Customs & Border Protection issues Sig P229 in .40 S&W.

Similar names and functions, but operated as two different agencies within the Dept. of Homeland Security.

I believe the FBI's HRT team still uses the Springfield Professional 1911.

US Marshal, is Glock .40...although they used to be able to carry what they wanted from a list of a pproved persoanl weapons. The issue was a Ruger GP100, or Smith Model 19. They were the last Fed agency to issue Revos.

In my LEO classes at Ft. H. I've had Sig 229's and 228's , HK Compacts and P2K's, M-9's, 1911's, Smith and Wesson M&P's, and lots of Glocks.
But I have Federal, State, and local LEO's in the classes.

Yes, I believe this is correct. I know a fellow in the FBI and he was issued a Springer recently as his EDC. There are also other federal and local LEA's that still issue 1911's in some cases.
