So... JD comes home from work today and we are talking about getting the mail to pick up a package and he says, "You have a package."

I say, "I do?"

He says, "Yes, on your computer."

I'm thinking, 'Huh? On my computer? How can I have a package on my computer? Is he talking an email?'

I walk over to my computer and what is sitting on top of it?

You guessed it.... A brand new Gen 4 Glock 19.

I guess I have to put a picture up even though a Glock is a Glock is a Glock.

Anyway....



On a side note he PROMISED not to buy any more guns for a while and I asked him if I could get this in writing to which he said, "Okay" and got a pen to write on my arm...

This was his creed...



It reads, "I, am done buying guns for a longish time, like 6 months.. unless a really really good deal pops up... JDL."

I'll take what I can get...lol

Now.. for a holster!

I will certainly give carrying this a good ol' college try.

We'll see about that. Give me a year and we'll see which one is on my hip.. I'm not going to predict one way or the other though. I love my 1911s and keep coming back to them but I know a LOT of people who are very happy with their Glocks and carry them with great success. I might be one of them.. then again.. I might not.

Either way I think I'll be hanging on to this Glock for a long time.

Welcome to the dark side. Let us know how the Gen 4 shoots. My first Glock was a 19 back in 1993 then came the 23, then the 21 then...... well you will find out for yourself. And no I do not see you giving up the 1911's. I kept my S&W's to this day.
