    First "Tupperware Party"

Wrestled for several days between Glock, Kahr, Springfield and the M&P. And the winner was an XD9 4". The gun fit my hand the best, and had a good trigger (so did Kahr)... Dont think I could have gone wrong with any of the above mentioned but cannot wait to get my amendment and shoot, and shoot some more. Happy Birthday to me!!!!

Great choice. My nephew carries one, and I've shot it several times. It's an excellent firearm.

    Congrats and Happy Birthday!
Enjoy your new Springfield. I have 1000+ rounds through my xd45 service...not a single issue.
And Springfield is there for you if you need them.

Happy Birthday and congrats. The XD is a great pistol. I've had an XD9SC for roughly five years, but only 900 rounds. Not a single failure of any kind, though. I've thought of adding an XD service size, but I have other 4" barreled pistols so haven't done it yet.

    Great choice.

Congrats! Great gun. I have a XD .40 service with over 3500 rounds through it and my wife has a XDsc9 with 1200 rounds through it. No problems with either.

Thanks to all, cant wait.... Meantime buy lots of cannon fodder. Did you ever buy one and get caliber remorse? I was torn between the .45 and the 9mm, but wanted something economical to shoot and reload for.... Good enough for the flesh eating zombies, I will be saving my pennies for a .45 for next year

Takes up to two weeks for my permit to get amended for the new addition, and I will attempt to post pics then. Meanwhile need to gather more bullets...
