I finally got to shoot my new Bodyguard 38 today. Put a 100 rounds through it. The only hiccup was a light primer strike on one of my reloads. This happens from time to time with my other revolvers and my reloads. 2nd strike and boom. Not the guns fault. I shot 158g LSWC reloads, WWB 125g+p sjhp, 125g and 135g goldots. It shot all then well. It would group 1-1.5 inches at 7yrds off a bag with all loads.
The laser was kinda tricky. Adjusting it is pretty straightforward but a little turn goes a long way. I was having a little trouble super-tuning the laser. I had to settle today for it hitting and inch left and low with 135gr Gold Dots that I carry. I ran out of them. lol Expensive little buggers. It will group the Gold Dots at just over an inch at 7yrds. The lens for the laser would get dirty with powder residue after a while and needed cleaned. No biggy.
The trigger pull is better than most j-frames in my opinion. It was a little gritty when I first got it but is smoothing out after shooting/dryfiring it. Its not as good as an LCR though.
I do like the ambi cylinder latch and full length ejector rod which spit the emptys out with ease. Recoil was pretty stiff but manageable. Muzzle flip was very noticeable but what can you expect from a 14oz revolver. Overall I am impressed with it and for the price am very pleased.
Good that you enjoy it. Congrats.
