Where do you buy your firearms

I have been looking for another carry firearm and it got me to thinking, where do others prefer to buy their firearms from??? I buy them from a mixture of sources, gunshows, friends, gun stores. I havn't bought any off of internet sites, but its becoming a consideration. if you vote a particular way, let me know why.
I buy where I can get the best price.

I was surprised you did not list sports stores / big box stores (like Academy).
I think they sell a lot of guns to a ton of folks.

I am always in the market for a good buy and will check out any seller I happen to see. Also when traveling I carry a card from my local gun shop that does transfers in order to buy legally out of state.

Not true...I just bought a full size 9mm M&P for $490 shipped from G&R Tactical.

http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/index.php I have bought at least eight guns from here and sold them three more. Traded for the one I just got last week. I traded a used Sig P245 for a brand spankin' new Taurus JUDGE "Public Defender" and I got some spectacular deals from them. I love that the advertised price is also the shipped price. Free shipping. I got my XD45 compact from Bud's for just $450, brand new and that included shipping to my FFL.

I work the gun counter at Academy. I can attest to the number of folks who are really pissed off when they come in and see our prices are $50 - $100 less than what they paid elsewhere, especially Bass Pro and gun shows. You'd be nuts not to shop all the resources available to you, including the big box stores.

Hey Sandman...how much did you pay for your Sigma? I'll bet it was more than the $269 (with rebate) that I sell it for.

I live in the Orlando Fl area and their is a great gun shop about a hour away in Merit Island. They have as good if not better prices on most pistols then you can find on the web. I have an AR that I bought directly from Spikes and a AK I got from classic arms. Most of the local shop are way overpriced and the gun shows are dominated by the same overpriced local shops.

I have purchased for others on occasion, but I primarily buy from one of two local gun shops. One is 2-minutes away and the other is 90 minutes away. Both are very friendly, work hard to get what I need, and always give me a better price then the 'tag'...always!

I use to go the same local shop all the time, but if it does not have or can get what I want I order from the Internet and transfer to them.

Mine are from a mixture of folks...gun shows (Spring & Fall), GunBroker.com and local. Although for some reason my local folks aren't even competitive. I like to keep my dollars in MN but they have to at least start meeting me half way.
    Best Regards from Minnesota,

I buy from a local gunshop. I was their first customer when they opened back in 1972. The owner and I used to duck hunt and crappie fish together. They have always treated me right and will order anything that I want.
