Some Glock manufacturing options/models not going to be available anymore?

Just got my Tactical Defense Solutions email and the following appeared. Has anyone else heard anything like this? Maybe if you wanted an OD or RTF2 you should act quick no?

"Glock has recently announced the following changes to their product line:

OD Guns will no longer be a part of the production line

RTF 2 guns will only be available for law Enforcement purchases once GLOCK, Inc. inventory is depleted.

Commercial pistols will only be available with fixed sights except the 34/35 which will be shipped with ADJ sights only

Might be a good time to get what you want before they are no more"

    Thanks.

Never really cared for the OD thing, wouldn't mind trying an RTF2 grip but RTF1 works, adjustable sights I've got a hammer I just need to hit the BG center mass and in his/her balloon head. So keep making them Gen 3 GLOCKS, at least until the bugs are worked outta the Gen 4.

I like the Glocks I have, and the discontinued items do not effect me.

Doesn't bother me. The OD thing is over-hyped. Can't keep the RTFs straight, but I think the RTF2 was the version that was too rough and turned so many against it. And the sights are no biggie either. I think most replaced their standard sights with TrueGlos or some other brand.

I am not a Glock person, but I like the RTF2 better than the RTF. I wonder why the RTF2 will be available only for LE. Thank you for the information.

I actually like the way the RTF2 grip feels in my hand, though I never felt the RTF version. So that's what I have to go on. Changing sights will come at a later date when the funds allow

Yes......it appears to be a fact that some of the models will be discontinued. I think I elicited to the fact in a post back in March that if you liked the RTF/RTF2 Glocks to jump on them then. I guess the time has come. I'm not going to burn the house down for the insurance money to go out and buy a bunch of soon to be discontinued Glocks in hopes of them becoming collectors items, but it might be a good investment for some. Since obviously the sales weren't there for Glock, and they judged that in relatively short period of time, I'm guessing there wasn't the projected demand. Hopefully (and if everything goes as planned), I'll still be able to get an RTF2 after they're no longer available to the public.

I have an OD G17 ...I let my son pick it out. I don't think I would have bought one on my own.

But it's still a Glock, and you love it right? That's what's important.

Yeah, I'll admit it's grown on me quite a bit. The 17 is a great shooter.

I was a little nervous this might happen, so I made sure to buy a Gen3 Glock 19 with RTF2. It's hands down my favorite grip on any handgun I've ever handled.

I love the Glock factory night sights. Makes me sad I'll have to go aftermarket.
