I need help! I think I have the 1911 bug!

Years ago I owned a 1911. It wasn't pretty but it was accurate and just felt good in my hand. A friend talked me out of it and I sold it to him. Lately I've been spning a lot of time looking at 1911s online, and think I might not be able to resist much longer!

    Give in. Resistance is futile!
I am consistently on record and will continue to be on record as opposing concealed carry.

There is no cure but the cost of the really good ones should keep it from getting out of control.

Sorry, but there is nothing that can be done. You must give in to the fact that you must have one.

It is called HAS (Handgun Aquisition Syndrome). I just recently caught it. The doc says it is incurable. Reading these type of posts does not help HAS.

You know you guys aren't helping much, especially those posting pistol porn!

I'd like to have a full size 1911 rather than a compact, but how much more difficult is it to CC a full size compared to say a 4" or 3.5" barrel version?

It is not difficult at all. I carry my full size in a tuckable IWB from Little Bear Holsters

The only time that I could see the shorter type to be more concealable, would be if you're a thin person wanting to carry with a shoulder rig.

Highly recommend the full size, don't let it intimidate you. It will, however, be very intimidating to the person on the receiving end

I say go for it, give into the urge. Resistance is futile.. I did, and I'm sold on the whole dang thang!

I'm gonna fill my safe with 1911's of all makes and models and they wont all be top tier manufacturers either. Even the ugly and heavy ones deserve trigger time too.

Good luck on stopping at one.

I used to own a full size 1911 years ago, but that was before CC was allowed, so I never tried to conceal it. I bought it used, and it showed plenty of wear, but I've never owned a sidearm since that I could shoot as well. I've been drooling over the Springfield Armory website for the last few hours...

I'm 6'1" and go about 220 pounds, so I'm thinking a full size in a good holster ought to be really nice! This is the model I'm drooling over the most
