You'll need to use 9mm mags with it though. Some people need to change the ejector for the 9mms; some don't. A trial and error thing.
I've also read a few cases of .40s not feeding well in .357 mags or vice-versa, can't remember which. But having to buy a new mag is still cheaper than a new gun.

Not in the older G23's. Call Glock or the barrel maker.

Sure. You can use a 357SIG barrel in your G23, and you should be good to go. A factory barrel will run you right around $150, but that's what I'd stick with if I were to swap. Your current G23 magazines should work fine....I say should, and your ejector won't need changed. The 357SIG cartridge is a 40S&W case necked down to 9mm.
Be safe and as always.......Glock on!

I agree with that...good point. Factory specs that a new 357SIG barrel cannot be used on the non-finger groove/rail (3rd gen) G23 models or pre-CPU frames. A specific serial number will definitely tell.
We shouldn't forget the details, and truly "dumb" questions seldom get answered. We're all here to support one another, and as pointed out by nedrgr21, my reply is thus amended to include more pertinent information for your safety and well being, and because you're family.

Expect a point of impact change with the different barrel + ammo.
