Finally did it
I've been looking and researching since I was forced (because of being out of work) to sell my Sig 1911 RCS last year. Finally took the plunge again. Ordered a SA Loaded Champion SS. With luck I should have it by the end of the week, and weather permitting take it out to shoot on Sunday. Not mine, but what she'll look like.

That's nice--really nice. Hope you enjoy the heck out of it.
This being out of work is the pits, isn't it. I'd like to have the GI model. Like me: simple, no frills, just function.

CONGRATS. Beautiful Piece, in deed.
If carried, what in?

SWEET! You got a tight little shooter there!
The Ruger MKIII 22/45 is the worst handgun in history to take apart, but is one of the funnest to shoot...

Nice purchase, buddy! I was once seduced by a Springfield Champion, in spite of my 1911 purism (the 4" bushing-less bull barrel, and the funny dual spring telescoping guide rod, kind of irk my purism). It was a little GI Champion, with a serial# that started with WW3, and she caught me by surprise, when I was looking for a gun to tide me over, while my full size Mil Spec was off to Springfield Armory Custom Shop. Mean little gun. I know you'll like yours.
