Police say we shouldn't be worried about them here because they are so ugly that not even a criminal would be caught dead with one.
Wow, they sound horrible (at least they're not black).

No thanks, I'll stick with with my trusty 1811s

He used it twice in the The World Is Not Enough.
Hitler once said, “The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerers who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing.”

SirLingPing signing in. You know, of course, that the real 007 today would carry a high quality compact German pistol like the ................. Walther PPS

Otherwise, Glocks are excellent value for money and super reliable. They are very practical but the grip and chunkiness suck for me and they lack the class and elegance of other pistols. Kinda like comparing a Toyota Camry to a BMW.

Yes indeed you are correct in that he was working on the .38 super initially.
Yup, he made that .50 cal but it was a little larger than a pistol. The M2 and the 1911 are both still alive and well in 2010. Like they say, if it's not broke, don't fix it.

Another amazing fact: Glock controls 65% of the US handgun market. That's not bad considering they are the new kids on the block. Kind of like the Model-T. Inexpensive, reliable and available in any color as long as it's black.

I shoot in IDPA type of matches and I am using a Glock 35 in .40 S&W. If you get in for the fun and trigger time you can load the .40 S&W lite and have a bunch of fun.
It can be loaded for softer felt recoil then the 9mm.

A CCW is like a parachute; if you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again.

Oh, I know very well what I'm talking about. I've shot Glocks and I've shot 1911s. Different kinds and different brands of both. In my honest opinion, going to the 1911 from a Glock is a step down. Again, my OPINION. Don't start attacking me here.

So is your opinion based on shooting, or carrying? If it's shooting then I would say I respectfully disagree with you and I have to question your statement. You are talking about combat accuracy compared to match grade accuracy.

DAMN! I hate it when people make points I can't argue with! Well said and duly noted.
