I guess I'm gonna have to start another 1911 thread soon. Have to get to the range and give it a bit of a work out first.

    Feel better C hawk?

if you are talking purely about match grade accuracy and speed shooting then there is no way for me to argue that a 1911 is superior...if you are talking about lightweight, high cap, combat accurate and out of the box reliability I have to go with glock.

I think the intro of the 4th generation Glocks has caused some stir. Although I still prefer my XDs by a small margin.

Something about the title told me that this would be about Glocks?

Gotta love a Glock, the 19 is my next purchase.

O'no the dreaded Glock. You can carry in anywhere as it can't be picked up by a metal detector. It's plastic don't you know. It won't last Real men only have steel guns. 50 rds and it will come apart
It is inaccurate. Can't hit the broad side of a barn with it. Where is the safety? Totally unsafe. they will never sell. What not made in America! Imported junk. I don't care it is a peice of crap. I like real steel and wood in my handguns. Cops will never stand for their dept issuing them. Glock must be a commie plot to get rid of our REAL guns.

Ok I am finished. I'll put my G23 back in the holster and ventrure out into the real world.

Good catch. The first time wasn't his though, it belonged to the banker. The second time was his M1911A1:

There are some beautiful guns on that site. Some really ugly ones, too.
A CCW is like a parachute; if you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again.
