    glock 19 and 'pinky bite'

This past Monday I headed to the range to break in my new glock 19.
The gun worked flawlessly and I shot it more accurately than I thought I would considering that it's a very different platform to what I'm used to.
The one problem I had however...was that my pinky ended up between the gap between the mag and the bottom of the grip...and it got chewed up.
Have any of you with larger hands had this problem? If so, what do you recommend? Pearce grip extensions? Dropping the pinky completely below the mag? Or something else?

I've yet to hear of this on a GLOCK 19, my wife claims it happens to her on the GLOCK 26 with the Pearce +0 pinky extensions but I never felt it on the 26 or my 19. Good luck finding a solution, a Pearce pinky extension might be the trick.

If not careful I can catch my pinky in my G23 slammin home a mag so I just developed the habit of moving the pinky slightly off the grip. Becomes pretty natural after some practice. And yes I have large (but not monster sized) hands.

I do have large hands and my pinky rests over the center of the bottom 'ridge' of the grip.
Apparently during the recoil 'the little guy' drops down enough so part of it ends up in the gap between the mag and grip.
I've never had a similar problem with either my sig p228 or my emp.

I have never had this issue with a 19, but did on my 36 till I got Pearce +0 extensions for it. I personally would just wrap a bit of surgical tape around my pinkie where the issue is during range sessions.

I have to move my pinky off for a mag change and watch I don't catch the palm of my hand. Never pinched a pinky though.

It's probably just my 'soft pencil-pushing' hands.
I ordered a couple of pearce extensions for use at the range. We'll see how those work.

First I've heard of this with a Glock.
