    Feeling the urge...

Next year I will be turning 40. So I decided to save my pennies for one of the following: 1. A SIG 239/229. 2. A CZ 75b or 3. A 1911. This will be for cc. I figure I only turn 40 once and I can buy more polymer pistols later in the year. Feel free to weigh in on my options.

Aim high... go for a Sig. I own A Sig, a CZ75, and 3 1911s (plus a lot of others). if I had to pick one to go BANG every time and do so with a modicum of class, it would be a Sig. I dearly love my 1911s and they feel best in my hand, but in terms of overall accuracy, reliability and durability, I'd go with Sig. You can debate the trigger options, and decide after trying them all.

Second choice, a high end 1911 like a Springfield Professional, Ed Brown. Les Baer or Wilson CQB.

That is right, you turn 40 only once in your life. Go for it

    Cool

Do not surpress the urge. All that stuff could back up and your head could explode. Buy a Sig !

Welcome to the forties; The age of being able to afford new guns, fantasizing about retirement, and prostate exams.

Accuracy ALWAYS WINS! So carry what you can hit with.

If you find yourself in a fair fight your tactics stink.

I agree with gasmitty....all things considered it would be a Sig, I would do it in .45 though, maybe a P220 Carry. About the same size as a P229, but in .45. Yeah baby.

Personally, if I wanted this weapon to mean something and be special. I'd go with a 1911. It's your 40th birthday and the 100th birthday of the 1911 pistol...think about that. Also It would be a good excuse to go out and get yourself a really nice example from a semi-custom shop. It's my opinion that the 1911 is the finest pistol out there provided it's done up right and a Wilson, Les Baer, Ed Brown, or Nighthawk would definitely fit that category.
