Talking New carry gun and holster

Went to the local gun show yesterday, and picked up a Rock Island Armory CS (Officers Model) 45. Can't wait to get to the range, and put some rounds through it. Also picked up a holster from a local company I had never heard of, called N82 Tactical. It's a really simple design, but holds the gun really well, and I was really surprised how comfortable the thing is. I am probably going to get another DM Bullard Dual Carry later on.

    Here's a pic of the new 45.

Here is a link to the holster I got.

Being thinking about this model of RIA 1911 for my new carry.

Have a RIA tactical and am very happy with it, but it is to large to CC for me.

Hope your new gun and holster serves you very well!!!!!!

Congrats on the RIA and the holster. I have considered those holsters before, but I was afraid that the re-holstering could be a little complicated. Please let us know it works for you. Good luck.

Congrats, I have been thinking of something along this line for my wife, she likes my 1911's but says the full size and Commander size is to heavy. So I was thinking something like this would be perfect.

Yeah, reholstering is going to take some practice. This might end up being a "summer holster", when I wear shorts, etc... I have a DM Bullard Dual Carry for my XDm, and that is is nice easy to use holster. Will probably end up getting one of those for the Rock eventually.

I'm not sure, I did some comparison, and it's pretty heavy compared to some of the other compacts. Something like 2lbs, 9 oz. It's easily as heavy as my XDm fully loaded.

Great choice. I held one at the GS and the fit and finish was excellent and they're built like a tank.!

    Congrats on yours.

I have one and love it. I'm not a big 1911 gun but the gun is growing on me.

The DM Bullard Dual Carry looks very nice. I just got an Alessi MOB-Talon which I like a lot; it is very slim and lightweight.

I saw those same holsters at the gun show in fayetteville. I picked up a leather holster there for the same weapon and I love it. Enjoy!
